Jim Halgrimson, MD

Dr. Halgrimson comes to NOHN from Austin, Texas where he completed his General Psychiatry Residency at Baylor Scott and White in 2015. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and provides comprehensive psychiatric services to address all forms of mental illness and related cognitive conditions.

Dr. Halgrimson served in several leadership roles with the Texas Medical Association, and also served as President of the Austin Psychiatric Society. He has been published in several peer reviewed scientific journals including the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and the Journal of the American Chemical Society, and he has provided expert testimony to support legislative measures to strengthen mental health services for underserved areas.

Dr. Halgrimson came to the Northwest to be closer to his family and looks forward to contributing to the medical community on the Olympic Peninsula.
