About David Doran, RN

David grew up right here on the Olympic Peninsula, in Sequim. He went on to study nursing at the University of New Mexico, where he lived and practiced nursing for several rewarding years.

Here locally, David’s nursing career has taken him into many areas of his diverse profession, from the Olympic Medical Center Emergency Department to Clallam Bay Correctional Center, and the Clallam County Public Health Department.

David enjoys working with people with substance use disorders (SUDs), particularly those with opioid use disorder, which brought him to the Office-Based Opioid Treatment program here at North Olympic Healthcare Network: “Recovery is my passion. In helping others with their addictions, I help myself.”

In his spare time, David enjoys backpacking in the Olympics, fly fishing the rivers of the Olympic Peninsula, and salmon fishing in the Salish Sea.
