Recognition and Awards

HRSA

For more than 50 years, health centers have delivered affordable, accessible, cost-effective, and quality primary health care to patients regardless of their ability to pay. Health centers advance a model of coordinated, comprehensive, and patient-centered care, integrating a wide range of medical, dental, mental health, substance use disorder, and patient support services. Central to the success of the nation’s health centers are the Health Center Program requirements, which serve as the foundation for quality services and operations.

The Health Resources & Services Administration’s (HRSA) Community Health Quality Recognition (CHQR) badges recognize Health Center Program awardees that have made notable improvement achievements in the areas of quality, access, health equity, and health information technology. In addition, COVID-19 badges were introduced to recognize health centers’ contributions to the public health emergency response in the areas of data collection, testing, and vaccinations.

American Heart Association

For our commitment to improving care and reducing risk factors for cardiovascular disease, the American Heart Association has recognized North Olympic Healthcare Network as a GOLD achievement award recipient in cholesterol management, blood pressure control (in association with the American Medical Association), and diabetes management (in association with the American Diabetes Association).

Cholesterol, high blood pressure and diabetes are three major risk factors for cardiovascular disease. These awards acknowledge our success in inspiring a significant number of NOHN patients to lower their risk of heart disease through cholesterol management, blood pressure control and diabetes management.

NCQA Awards

The National Committee for Quality Assurance is a private, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving health care quality. Since its founding in 1990, NCQA has been a central figure in driving improvement throughout the health care system, helping to elevate the issue of health care quality to the top of the national agenda.

The NCQA seal is a widely recognized symbol of quality. Organizations incorporating the seal into advertising and marketing materials must first pass a rigorous, comprehensive review and must annually report on their performance. For consumers and employers, the seal is a reliable indicator that an organization is well-managed and delivers high quality care and service.
