Requests to Become a New Patient
Thank you for your interest in becoming a patient at North Olympic Healthcare Network (NOHN). NOHN is a Community Health Center providing comprehensive medical care (family medicine, obstetrics, pediatrics), behavioral health, family dentistry and eyecare to children and adults on the North Olympic Peninsula. We offer a Sliding Fee Program with discounts on services for uninsured and underinsured patients that meet federal eligibility guidelines.
We are in the process of changing how we manage new patient requests by moving away from an impersonal, web-based registration model to a personalized, appointment-first scheduling model to better serve the increasing number of people who are looking to make NOHN their medical home. Please note, our ability to support urgent requests is very limited due to overwhelming demand and staffing shortages. If you have a life-threatening medical condition, call 911.
- If you have already registered, you will be contacted in the order in which your request was received. You will receive priority scheduling; however, new patient appointments are extremely limited, so you may be scheduled for your first visit several months out.
- We are currently accepting in-person registrations at our Downtown Health Center at 240 W. Front Street in Port Angeles during business hours. You may also register by phone by calling (360) 452-7891.
- Please have your insurance information ready when you register in person or by phone.
- If you’re uninsured, please call our Community Resource Navigator at (360) 452-7891 x2894 for assistance in obtaining affordable health insurance.
- To discuss financial assistance options, please call Patient Accounts at (360) 452-8086.
- Please have your insurance information ready when you register in person or by phone.
- We will continue to prioritize obstetrics and pediatrics patients, who can typically be seen within 2-3 weeks.
- We will also prioritize community members who do not have a primary care provider (PCP) ahead of those who have a PCP and want a change.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we implement this new process. We look forward to meeting all your healthcare needs!
