Sage (she/her) was born and raised in western Washington. She attended Western Washington University for her undergraduate education, where she studied behavioral neuroscience and chemistry. After college, she worked as a caregiver for adults with developmental disabilities and as a scribe in the Skagit Valley Hospital emergency department.
Sage attended medical school at Boston University Chobanian & Avedesian School of Medicine, where she volunteered at a needle exchange program and in the NICU as a cuddler for infants born with neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome. Sage is currently part of the Rural Training Program and hopes to provide full-spectrum care in a rural setting after graduation.
Outside of medicine, Sage enjoys spending time outdoors and on the water. She is a U.S. Sailing certified sailing instructor and also loves to kayak, hike, and camp. She is very excited to spend her days off exploring Washington’s state and national parks with her wife, Avery. When she’s not outdoors, you will likely find her playing board games, reading, and relaxing at home with her two cats Nora and Oreo.
