About Kevin Levi, LCSW, MAC

Kevin Levi was born in Washington, D.C. and moved to Knoxville, Tenn. when he was very young. Kevin received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Evansville in Indiana. He then went on to obtain his Master’s in Social Work from Howard University, where he graduated summa cum laude.

Kevin worked for over 10 years in D.C. while serving as a case manager to those with chronic mental illness, helping them advocate for their rights and needs. During that time, he also collaborated with patients in therapy and led recovery groups as a Masters Addiction Counselor. Upon moving to the West Coast five years ago, he worked as a hospital social worker, covering hospice while also conducting individual therapy.

Kevin works with adolescents through seniors and has experience in addressing issues of anxiety, depression, addiction, grief and loss and trauma. These issues are addressed through cognitive and dialectical therapies, including the grief companionship model.

He enjoys life on the Washington coast and spends time outdoors, hiking with his pups, kayaking or stargazing. Inside, he has hobbies of cooking and baking for others, as well as crafting, reading and drawing.
