Ned Hammar, MD was born in Haiti, grew up in a 400-person town in eastern Oregon, and was one of the first Peace Corps volunteers in South Africa. He attended medical school at Johns Hopkins University, then moved to Seattle to complete a family medicine residency at Swedish Cherry Hill where he met the love of his life, Dr. Lissa Lubinski. Both practiced medicine in the town of Omak, WA for five years before moving to Port Angeles with their two beautiful boys, Felix and Sam. Ned considers himself to be the luckiest person alive and believes firmly in the words of the real Dr. Patch Adams, “The health of the individual cannot be separated from the health of the family, the community, and the world.”
