About Marilyn Holm, OD

Dr. Marilyn Holm grew up on a farm in Mason City, Nebraska with five siblings. She did her undergraduate work at Ottawa University in Kansas and worked as a Medical Technologist for 13 years before returning to school.  She graduated from Indiana University School of Optometry in Bloomington, IN in 1999.

Dr. Holm’s optometry career started in Kansas where she was in private practice before working for the Army at Ft Riley, KS.  That gave her the opportunity to go to Alaska where she worked for 10 years. While there, she worked in group practices, private practice, and spent some time doing village eyecare with the Alaska natives. She then spent time in Colorado and St. Thomas, USVI before moving to Port Angeles.

Dr. Holm enjoys doing full spectrum Optometry, caring for patients of all ages. From routine eyecare and contact lenses to the more difficult medical issues, she loves being able to help ensure that all of her patients are seeing well for their lifetime.

When she’s not at the office, Dr. Holm loves to spend time with her Papillon Matti. She enjoys being outdoors—whether it is hiking, biking, fishing, or camping. She is involved in church, loves music, arts and crafts, quilting, cooking, gardening, photography, and traveling.
