08 Oct Medicare Advantage, D-SNP Changes in 2026
North Olympic Healthcare Network has made the difficult decision that beginning April 1, 2026, we will no longer be contracted with UnitedHealthcare (UHC) for Medicare Advantage and dual-eligible (D-SNP/UCard) plans.*
NOHN patients with UHC Medicare Advantage or dual-eligible plans have the option to enroll in a new Medicare Advantage or dual-eligible plan or pay out-of-network costs for services.
Enrollment Periods
Changing plans will ensure that your insurance covers the quality care you’ve come to expect from NOHN; however, you may change plans only at certain times of the year:
October 15 – December 7: Medicare Open Enrollment Period
For new and established Medicare beneficiaries who want to enroll in or change Medicare Advantage plans or switch to Original Medicare
January 1 – March 31: Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period
For established Medicare Advantage patients who want to change plans or return to Original Medicare (and join a stand-alone Medicare drug plan)
Special Enrollment Periods
Triggered by specific life events, such as moving or losing other coverage
Dual-Eligible Plans
Enrollment periods vary by plan
