24 Jun New Teen MyChart Brings Changes
Beginning June 30, patients ages 12-17 will transition to a new Teen MyChart account to align with state and federal requirements, enhance usability, and support teen access to their health information.
Deactivation: On June 30, existing MyChart accounts for patients ages 12-17 will be temporarily deactivated and require reactivation.
Reactivate/Sign Up: To reactivate your Teen MyChart account (or sign up if you don’t have one), let our staff know at your next appointment. We’ll verify your identity, answer any questions, and get the new account up and running.
Prefer not to wait for your next visit? You can also stop by any of our clinic locations after June 30, and our team will be happy to assist you in person.
Upon reactivation, teens will have full access to their electronic medical record, which means they can:
– Manage appointments
– Request renewals of prescriptions online
– Communicate with providers
– Review health education topics and instructions
– Receive test results online
– Review medical history, medications, immunizations, and allergies
Note: The new Teen MyChart accounts will include information that teens may want to keep confidential. NOHN encourages teens to involve their parents or guardians in healthcare decisions whenever possible. If necessary, NOHN will assist teens in discussions with their parents or guardians; however, by law, minors may consent to certain confidential healthcare services without parental permission.
Proxy Access: Proxy access allows parents and guardians to stay involved without needing their teen’s login. This change will not affect proxy access.
